At NC Blue Angles, we believe investing in our youth is one of the best investments any individual or community can make. Our experience has shown that the teamwork and athleticism required in the sport of basketball help improve socialization and physical fitness in developing children, and teach such invaluable life skills as work ethic, communication, emotion regulation and decision-making under pressure. NC Blue Angels was formed to make these irreplaceable learning opportunities for children and adolescents more accessible by funding youth basketball programs throughout the state of North Carolina.
Who We Are
Coach Galati
NCAA Certified Coach and IAABO Certified Basketball Official Greg Galati has been involved in AAU youth basketball in a leadership capacity for more than 15 years. Before being named Executive Director of the NC Blue Angels, Coach Galati founded and managed the New Jersey Gazelles, a non-profit, AAU basketball program serving young athletes at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
Coach Galati’s “no nonsense, just basketball” approach has helped hundreds of young people develop technical, athletic and leadership skills. Most of Coach Galati’s youth athletes have gone on to succeed in basketball at the high school level and over 20 have competed at the college level.
